VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Grand Village Volunteers The needs of the residents are met by staff but a volunteer provides the extra care and compassion that make Grand Village a home. Do you have a special talent that you could share with our residents? Any thing that you enjoy doing could be shared with our residents. Our volunteers are available according to their own schedules, some come once a month, some come weekly, and some come once or twice a year. You are not committed to any schedule. There are many volunteer opportunities including • One to one visiting • Reading assistants

• assisting in outdoor walks  • gardening  • volunteer operated gift shop  • serving coffee, sewing projects  • Assist with medical appointments  • Assist with outings  Becoming a Volunteer  Our most important qualities are genuine caring and respect for the wellbeing of the  elderly. Your role as a volunteer depends on your level of interest and needs/interests  of the residents. The time you volunteer is determined by your schedule.
